Rashmi Halker Singh, MD, FAHS, FAAN, is a Professor of Neurology at Mayo Clinic, where she brings her passion for clinical care, education, and equity to multiple leadership roles. She is the immediate past Director of the Headache Medicine Fellowship, the Medical Director of the Office of Belonging, the Physician Leader of Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Commitment Against Racism, and a dedicated faculty member at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Board certified in neurology (ABPN) and headache medicine (UCNS), Dr. Halker Singh has established herself as a national leader in her field.

At the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), she has served as Chair of the Headache and Face Pain Section and continues to contribute as a member of the Science Committee. A proud graduate of the Women Leading in Neurology Leadership Program, she has also been a course director, faculty member, and plenary speaker at numerous AAN annual meetings.

Dr. Halker Singh plays a vital leadership role within the American Headache Society (AHS), currently serving as Secretary on the Executive Board of Directors. She was instrumental in launching the Society’s Women’s Leadership Development Program and now chairs both the Membership and Awards Committees. In addition, she is the Deputy Editor of Headache, the official journal of AHS, and its Online and Social Media Editor.

Internationally, she is an Executive Leadership Team member for the Women in Headache Medicine Committee of the International Headache Society. She is also a founding leader of Migraine Mavens, the first online community created specifically for women healthcare professionals in headache medicine.

A sought-after speaker, Dr. Halker Singh has presented at regional, national, and international conferences. Her scholarly work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstracts in areas such as migraine, women’s health and headache, telemedicine, medical education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Her contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including the American Headache Society’s Above and Beyond Award for Service, Outstanding Course Director at Mayo Clinic, the Top Faculty Members Award by Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development, Emerging Leaders recognition from AHS, the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellowship Award, and a Commitment Against Racism Grant from Mayo Clinic.

At the heart of Dr. Halker Singh’s work is a deep commitment to advancing the science and understanding of migraine—a condition that affects millions yet remains under-recognized and underfunded. Equally important to her is championing opportunities for women in medicine. Through mentorship, leadership development, and creating spaces for belonging, she strives to empower the next generation of diverse physician leaders in neurology and beyond.
