TESHAMAE MONTEITH

Dr. Teshamae Monteith is a Professor of Clinical Neurology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She also serves as chief of the Headache Division and program director of the Headache Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Monteith is the co-chair of the IHS Membership Committee and was previously a member of the IHS Board of Trustees and co-chair of the IHS Task Force on Regional Committees. She also served as a senior member of the IHS Task Force on Migraine Practice Guidelines. For the American Headache Society, she was the founding chair of the New Investigator and Trainee Section and is currently the co-chair of the Leadership Committee. Dr. Monteith holds numerous editorial roles, including as an associate editor for Cephalalgia and Cephalalgia Reports, and she serves on the editorial board for the American Academy of Neurology's journal Neurology and Brain & Life magazine. She is also a senior host for the Neurology Podcast, deputy editor for the Neurology Minute and the associate editor for the Continuum Audio podcast. Her clinical and research interests include migraine, cluster headache, posttraumatic headache, brain health, and women's health.
