Prof. Massimiliano Valeriani is Director of the Developmental Neurology Unit at Bambino Gesù
Children’s Hospital in Rome (Italy) and Associate Professor of Child Neurology at Tor Vergata
University of Rome (Italy). He is also Adjunct Professor at Aalborg University (Denmark). He is the
secretary of the Italian Society for the Study of Headaches (SISC) and member of the Child and
Adolescent Committee of the International Headache Society (IHS). He is Chief Editor of Pain
Research Management (Wiley). His research activity in the field of pediatric headaches is mainly
focused on the clinical and neurophysiological aspects of these disorders. He is the principal
investigator for Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in many clinical trials on mAbs, ditans, and
gepants. Prof. Valeriani is author of more than 300 publications in international journals and his H
index is 46 (Scopus).
