MIJI LEE

Dr. Mi Ji (Miji) Lee is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Seoul National University College of Medicine, and a neurologist, headache specialist, and researcher at Seoul National University Hospital in Korea. She obtained her MD in 2009 from Sungkyunkwan University, completed her neurology residency in 2013, and a three-year fellowship in stroke and headache in 2016. From 2017 to 2022, she served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine.
Dr. Lee’s main fields of research involve migraine, cluster headache, RCVS, and pressure-related headaches. She serves on several committees and task forces of the International Headache Society (IHS), having previously served as a board member. She has authored over 130 papers in SCI(E)-indexed journals, including expert review articles on migraine, tension-type headache, and post-traumatic headache in top-tier journals such as The Lancet, Nature Reviews Disease Primers, and The Lancet Neurology, and contributed to multiple book chapters. Her contributions have been recognized with the IHS Mid-Career Headache Science Award, the 2023 Giuseppe Nappi Cluster Headache Award, and an official commendation from the Ministry of Health and Welfare of South Korea. She was also named a Rising Researcher by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.
Dr. Lee has co-authored several expert review articles on migraine, tension-type headache, and post-traumatic headache in top-tier journals such as The Lancet, Nature Reviews Disease Primers, and The Lancet Neurology. She currently serves as an Associate Editor of Cephalalgia, the official journal of the International Headache Society.
