Dr. Tsubasa Takizawa is an Assistant Professor and the Principal Investigator of the Headache Group at Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from Keio University School of Medicine in 2010 and began his career in neurology in 2012, training under the mentorship of Prof. Norihiro Suzuki and Prof. Mamoru Shibata. From 2016 to 2018, he conducted advanced research as a fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on cortical spreading depolarization models under the guidance of Prof. Cenk Ayata. Since his return to Japan in 2018, Dr. Takizawa has been at the forefront of headache research, with a particular emphasis on migraine triggers and real-world evidence studies of CGRP monoclonal antibodies. In 2020, he assumed leadership of the Headache Group at Keio University, where he continues to drive innovation in both basic and clinical research. Dr. Takizawa is deeply committed to mentoring aspiring researchers, including students and residents, and actively promotes international collaboration with headache specialists across the globe.
