RAQUEL GIL-GOUVEIA

Raquel Gil-Gouveia is a neurologist and Headache Specialist based in Lisbon, Portugal. She is Head of the Headache Center at Hospital da Luz, President of the Luz Saúde Research Committee, and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is also a researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health at the same university.
Dr. Gil-Gouveia holds a PhD in Neurology and has been actively involved in clinical trials and investigator-led studies, particularly in the area of migraine-related cognitive dysfunction, using both clinical and neuroimaging approaches.
She currently serves as Executive Secretary of the European Headache Federation and is a board member of the Lifting The Burden global campaign against headache. Her work is dedicated to improving patient-centered outcomes, enhancing headache care delivery, and promoting multidisciplinary research in migraine and headache.
