Debbie has a BSc(Hons) in pharmacology from Sheffield University and PhD from Imperial College London. She is a Fellow of the British Pharmacological Society (FBPhS) and a Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi (FRSNZ). Research in the Hay laboratory focuses on the molecular pharmacology of class B G protein-coupled receptors, including those for CGRP, amylin, the adrenomedullins, VIP and PACAP. Debbie is an Editorial Board member of Trends in Pharmacological Sciences and she is an advocate for improving patient care for those living with migraine in New Zealand.
